The scope of construction works included road surface maintenance and forest road maintenance in the Torzym Forest District in several technologies. Soil stabilization technology using geotextile and AT CELL cellular geogrid was used to strengthen the existing substrate.
Strengthening the subsoil with low load capacity, by filling the geogrid cells with compacted aggregate, allows the creation of a spatial system working as a semi-rigid subsoil reinforcing the subsoil. The subject of the contract was the delivery of a cell geogrid with elements for fixing in the form of “J” steel anchors and mounting straps. The basic element of the AT CELL geocell system are sections made of several dozen properly connected high density polyethylene tapes. In the unfolded position, the system of connected tapes forms a flexible structure that can be filled with a specific material. The spatial structure of the cellular geogrid was created to optimally transfer forces, reduce pressure and minimize inputs in order to obtain satisfactory soil parameters on difficult geotechnical substrates.
